Each brings direct experience with the power of horses to reach into human hearts, minds and souls. Founder/Head Trainer
Emma Minteer
Emma is a nationally recognized mustang trainer experienced with hundreds of veterans and mustangs as a trainer. After years of seeing the positive impacts, she founded Mustang Miracles in 1919 to enable participants to free themselves from the burdens of PTS while freeing their mustangs from government holding. Emma balances her professional life with the demands of raising a family and working the ranch. Active in rodeo liberty performances with her mustang, Amazing Grace, she exemplifies strong faith-based ethics and cowboy values.

Phil Wytrwa
Phil is an Afghanistan war veteran who has found his calling in working with mustangs and veterans. After starting as a participant in early days of recovery, Phil advanced to become a PATH certified trainer in the Mission Mustang program at The EquiCenter; in Rush, NY. Phil is a board member and trainer at Miracles, where he devotes time to building the program, working with other veterans and doing projects around the ranch. He is a kind, knowledgeable horse lover, helping raise two daughters and riding bulls in rodeo in his spare time.

Jack Minteer
Early in life, Jack learned horsemanship and horse training from his father, a professional horse trainer. Since, he has lived a horse training and rodeo life. A former natioonal champion bull rider, today Jack balances the demands of professional horse training with raising his family and running Rose Hill Ranch. He is a kind and generous trainer who exemplifies faith-based cowboy values. Jack is also an entertaining rodeo clown and showman.

Michael Shields
Michael is a Vietnam war veteran who made the journey back 'to the world' through the support of family and recovery groups. His early horse experience after the war was gentling a green-broke 3 year old appaloosa gelding that taught him the power of a horse to heal a human. Now a retired tech exec with a grown family, Michael devotes himself to charity work and his passion for veterans causes and mustang adopton. He is the veterans' program advisor on the Board of Advisors for The EquiCenter in Rush, NY; and works with other veterans in recovery and his mustang, Luna. at the ranch.
